Overview

Forest Hill High School offers a wide range of elective courses designed to support scholars’ interests, talents, and postsecondary goals. Electives provide opportunities for scholars to explore creativity, build practical skills, and deepen learning beyond core academic subjects.

Electives offered:

  • Arts

  • Business & STEM

  • Foreign Language(s)

  • Band

  • Choir

  • Physical Fitness/Health

  • ACT Prep

  • College and Career Readiness (CCR)

    • The following courses are approved substitutions for the CCR course:

      • Career and Technical Work Based Learning Course
      • Dual Credit SmartStart
      • JROTC III and IV 
      • Advanced Placement Capstone: Completion of both AP Seminar and AP Research or equivalent International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International Courses
      • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior College and Career Readiness Seminar courses for Early College High Schools.

Through these courses, scholars are encouraged to discover new passions, strengthen critical skills, and prepare for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
