Greetings Patriots Family,
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! My heart is absolutely bursting
with excitement as we kick off another year of learning, growth, and triumph here at the
University of South Jackson. This marks the beginning of my eighth year as your proud lead learner, and every single one of those seven years has deepened my profound admiration for the resilience, brilliance, and spirit of our South Jackson scholars. This year, I know, will be no different.
We are a school community that consistently strives for excellence, and our dedication has shown! Since we began receiving letter grades from the Mississippi Department of Education, even through the challenges of COVID, we've consistently earned a "C" or better since the 2021-2022 school year. That's a testament to the hard work of our students, the unwavering
commitment of our staff, and the invaluable support of families like yours.

Now, as we embark on this new year, our school staff and I are extending a heartfelt invitation to be truly present in your scholar's day-to-day academic and extracurricular journeys. My greatest
hope is that each of you will become an active and vibrant member of our PTSA. This organization is a vital lifeline for our school, and we simply need more parents and guardians to help us continue our legacy of success. Get ready, because we're planning a plethora of parent and guardian engagement opportunities this school year, and I wholeheartedly encourage you
to dive in!
